Crop nutritional requirements

Calculates the nutrient uptake of the cycle and distributes it by periods with the irrigation water.

Log in to open it

Calculates the nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium uptake of a crop cycle with uptake tables, the FAO reference or uptake concentrations. Distributes uptake and water by periods and saves the result as a programme in the nutrient solution manager.

Crop uptake and biomass

Cycle uptake as oxide and element, fruit to tissue split and harvested biomass.

1 / 2

Features

  • Calendar and cycle water: Sowing or transplant, germination days, cycle dates and water in total or by periods.
  • Uptake: Tables per 1,000 kg of harvest for vegetables, cereals, fruit trees, olive and citrus, FAO reference, total uptake or uptake concentration in mmol/L.
  • Oxide and element: Nitrogen as element and P₂O₅, K₂O, CaO and MgO as oxide, with the conversion done.
  • Fruit and tissue: Split by nutrient for pepper, tomato, melon, cucumber and green bean; fruit and tissue biomass and dry matter.
  • Distribution by dates: Monthly periods or four stages, with the share of water and of each nutrient, and equations with custom coefficients.
  • Saving to nutrient solutions: Programme with one general stage or one stage per period in the nutrient solution manager.

Inputs

Crop, sowing or transplant date and end of cycle. Cycle water, in total or by periods, and nitrate to ammonium split. Expected yield, uptake table and fruit to tissue split.

Results

Cycle uptake as oxide and as element. Nutrient and water distribution by periods. Programme saved in the nutrient solution manager.

Calculation conditions

Uptake is based on the reference tables and the yield entered. The tables give nitrogen as element and phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium as oxide. The result is crop uptake; soil and water supply and irrigation efficiency are handled in the fertilization tools.
