Designs drip, sprinkler, micro-sprinkler and boom irrigation systems on the plot geometry. Calculates flow per sector, requirement against capacity, irrigation time and emitter uniformity, with field calibration and clogging risk.
Features
- Irrigation systems: Drip, sprinkler, micro-sprinkler and irrigation boom, on soil or substrate, in basic, expert or diagnostic mode.
- Plot and sectors: Length, width, slope, margins or saved geometry; number and direction of sectors and span distribution.
- Emitter layout: Spacing between lines and drippers, flow, paired layout and orientation; bags, drippers per bag and drainage on substrate.
- Irrigation boom: Benches, trays and bars, speed, passes, turning, daily capacity and transverse uniformity.
- Paths and pipes: Paths deducted from the irrigated area and main pipes with laterals on each side.
- Emitter and calibration: Emitter exponent, nominal and minimum pressure, manufacturing CV and field CU with pressures, flows and filter.
- Clogging and requirement: Risk from solids, iron, manganese, sulphides and bacteria; net requirement, leaching fraction and pipe volume.
Inputs
Plot geometry, slope, margins, paths and main pipes. Dripper layout, sprinklers, or benches, trays and bars of the irrigation boom. Emitter, pressures, irrigation requirement and field calibration data.
Results
Lines, emitters and flow per sector and in total. Requirement against system capacity and irrigation times. Emitter uniformity, clogging risk and layout plan.
Calculation conditions
Flows start from the declared emitter; field calibration enters the measured flow and pressure. In sprinkler irrigation, soil profile and wind modify the calculated uniformity. Measured flow takes priority over the clogging risk factor.
