Extensive crop fertilization

Calibrates disc, pendulum or pneumatic spreaders and plans the basal and top dressing of the season.

Log in to open it

Calibrates the spreader with static discharge, driven distance, transverse spread or outlet spread tests, and keeps the history of each machine. Plans the season applications with the plot requirement, previous inputs, the rate of each application and solid blend compatibility according to EFMA.

Spreader calibration

Tray test, transverse curve, coefficient of variation (CV), real rate and asymmetry.

Features

  • Test conditions: Twin disc, single disc, pendulum or pneumatic boom spreader; metering independent of or proportional to forward speed.
  • Tests: Static discharge, driven distance, transverse spread with width and uniformity, and outlet spread along the boom.
  • Setting and history: Metering setting from one or several tests of the same machine and product, test archive and printable sheet.
  • Fertilization plan: Plot requirement, inputs from soil, water, residues or organic sources, and applications with date, product, rate, price and hopper.
  • Cover remaining: Rate still to apply according to the calendar, with previous applications deducted.
  • Blend matrix: Compatibility of solid fertilizers for hopper blending according to the 2006 EFMA guidance.
  • Draft and export: Draft saved in the browser and import and export of the work.

Inputs

Spreader, metering, tested fertilizer, target rate, width, speed and bulk density. Test measurements: static discharge, driven distance, transverse trays or boom outlets. Area, saved requirements, previous inputs and season fertilizers with their price.

Results

Target and measured flow, real rate, uniformity and metering setting. Pass plan, printable sheet and machine history. Application calendar, rates, cost, blend matrix and balance against the requirement.

Calculation conditions

The EFMA matrix classifies fertilizer families; humidity in the store and the hopper also cakes compatible blends. Each test corresponds to one fertilizer and one metering position; a fertilizer with another particle size or density requires a new test. With one test, the setting is estimated with a proportional response; with two or more of the same machine and product, it comes from their curve.
